Scope of this Standard

These requirements cover household motor-operated food preparing machines and kitchen accessories such as knife sharpeners and can openers, that are intended to be operated for short-periods of time resulting in cumulative use-time per year of less than 100 hours and that are for use in accordance with TTS 171: Part 1: 2002, Trinidad and Tobago Electrical Wiring Code: Part 1: Low voltage installations (including Amendment 1 (2007)).
